Which rainwater management system should I choose?

All our rainwater systems are built around the same efficient and self-cleaning WISY filter. The difference lies in how the rainwater is pumped and controlled. Therefore, the choice primarily depends on where the system is to be installed, the distance to the tank, and your preferences for comfort and operational reliability.

1. Sigma – the simple and economical solution

Sigma is the classic rainwater management system for detached houses. The pump is located inside the house, where the control system monitors the tank's water level and automatically switches to mains water if the tank becomes empty.

✅ Advantages

  • Attractive acquisition price
  • Simple and proven technology
  • Easy access for service and maintenance
  • Suitable for most common single-family homes

❌ Disadvantages

  • The pump is located indoors and can be heard during operation
  • Has limitations with long distances or large height differences between the tank and the house

💡 We recommend Sigma if:

You want a budget-friendly solution, and the tank is placed relatively close to the house.

2. Multimat – the quiet solution

Multimat uses a submersible pump in the rainwater tank. This means the pump operates quietly in the tank, while the control system is located inside the house. The system automatically monitors the water level and refills with mains water when needed.

✅ Advantages

  • Very quiet operation
  • High operational reliability
  • No suction line between the tank and the house
  • Suitable for longer distances between the tank and the building

❌ Disadvantages

  • Higher investment than Sigma
  • The pump is located in the tank and requires access for service

💡 We recommend Multimat if:

You want maximum comfort, low noise level, and a modern solution with high operational reliability.

3. Optima – for demanding installations

Optima is developed for installations where the tank is far from the house or has significant height differences. The system uses a submersible pump in the tank and is dimensioned for more demanding conditions.

✅ Advantages

  • Ideal for long pipe runs
  • Handles larger height differences
  • Very robust and reliable solution
  • Same automatic monitoring and refilling as the other systems

❌ Disadvantages

  • Highest investment level
  • Often more than necessary for a standard detached house

💡 We recommend Optima if:

Your tank is placed far from the house, or the terrain conditions place special demands on the system.

🏆 Our recommendation

For most detached houses, Multimat is the solution we most often recommend. It combines high operational reliability, quiet operation, and great flexibility in installation.

  • If you have a tank close to the house and want the most economical solution, Sigma is an obvious choice.
  • For longer distances or greater height differences, Optima will typically be the best choice.

If you are in doubt, we are happy to help you choose the right solution for your home and water consumption.
